Summer Vacation: Week 1 (part 1)

Day 1: 

I'm counting the last day of school as the 1st day of summer vacation!    We went to a super long awards assembly, then we were out of there - so we had most of the day to play!

This is Alison's principle - Mrs Correll

She was W-A-Y up front and we were W-A-Y in the back, and she kept peeking back trying to find us...then she finally did and flashed this happy smile  :o)

and her other teacher Ms Ashley



We stopped by the house after school to take care of somethings and eat lunch - then we were off to Purple Penguin for some awesome snow cones!

We grabbed an extra one and headed over to play with Candice and Chloe for the afternoon!

It was our last time seeing them while Candice was pregnant  :o)

Later that evening, we went to a soccer clinic for Alison.

DAY 2

On the summer bucket list was "visit the dinosaur park"...summer in Vegas really isn't all that great for parks because it gets too hot to touch the playground equipment.  SO  we decided to cross it off our list as soon as possible!  We met all of our friends there and had fun playing on the playground and in the sprinklers.

 That night was Ellie's soccer party at Chuck E Cheese...I even got Brian to go with us this time.  He hasn't been to one in 20 years  lol

Day 3

In the morning we all went to the pool - Brian played with the kids while I stayed on the chair and made sure Brooke didn't drown  ;o) 

later in the afternoon we busted out Brooke's new sprinkler and had Popsicles.  Pretty much a perfect summer Saturday!

Day 4

First stop was church - it was a great message on marriage!

Next stop was a Memorial Day BBQ with our friends!  The kids, and 2 Dads went swimming, the rest of us just hung out and laughed as the kids froze their butts off in the pool!
